MaestroSafe Nucleic Acid loading dye

Description

Size: 1ml

MaestroSafeTM product represent a new and safe class of nucleic acid stains for visualization of double-stranded DNA , single-stranded DNA , and RNA in agarose gels.

The dyes are developed to replace toxic Ethidium Bromide (EtBr , a potent mutagen) , commonly used in gel electrophoresis for visualization of nucleic acids in agarose gels.

MaestroSafeTM products are non-carcinogenic by the Ames-test.

The results are negative in both the mouse marrow chromophilous erythrocyte micronucleus and mouse spermary spermatocyte chromosomal aberration tests.

MaestroSafeTM – Substitute for loading dye

With MaestroSafe dyes , you do not need to add any dyes to both gel matrix and running buffers.

MaestroSafeTM dyes are provided in a form of 6X sample loading dyes and they are to be added to your samples only.

The MaestroSafeTM dyes completely eliminate any possible contamination of glassware or gel running tank as associated with EtBr.

After the electrophoresis , view and document your results as you would do with EtBr staining protocols.

Features

Protocol:
1.Prepare a 100ml agarose solution.
2.Mix gentle without having any air bubbles.
3.Let the solution cool down to 60-70℃ and cast the gel.
4.Mix samples and DNA markers with a MaestroSafeTM dye at 1:10 dilution rate.
5.View the results under traditional UV light after electrophoresis.
6.Or use non -hazardous UltraBright or UltraSlim LED transilluminator for not only good performance but also your health concerns .

Specification

Reference:
MaestroSafeTM was developed to work with Blue Light LED illuminators (like UltraSlim LED and UltraBright LED) but it can also be used with regular UV transilluminators as well.

The exact excitation wavelength peaka is ~470nm. Emission peak is ~530 nm.

(1)Safety:

MaestroSafe stain is non-carcinogenic and less mutagenic compared to Ethidium Bromide. Furthermore we can state that
MaestroSafe stain is impenetrable to latex gloves and cell membranes.
MaestroSafe stain is classified as non-hazardous to aquatic life, under CCR Title 22 regulation. Thus, small amounts of
MaestroSafe stain can be safely released into the environment.
Please see the detailed safety report as attachment

(2)Better results in downstream application:

Better cloning efficiency for “MaestroSafe stain + UltraBright LED” compared with “Ethidium Bromide + UV transilluminator”

(3)Please also refer to FL_MaestroSafe for the electrophoresis image/data of MaestroSafe loading stain.

-Shipping temperature :The delivery in room temperature will be alright. (25~30℃).

MaestroSafe loading dye can be stored in room temperature as long as three weeks without any bad influence on it.
-Storage conditions : Our kind suggestion would be stored under 4℃ for long-term storage.

    -Shelf-life : Store at 4°C up to 24 months.

At the same time, we’re glad to share the great news with you.
